Happy Birthday

I took this video because this little girl hums in her sleep!!! She is completely passed out but she will hum all night long!

We had a pulmonologist appointment today at Phoenix Childrens Hospital. They said that her weight is looking really good! :) She weighs 11lbs 15oz. Right now she still needs to stay on her oxygen only at night. Home Health will bring Pulse Oximetry machine to the house in a few days. When it gets here, were suppose to do the "Overnight Pulse Oximetry Study on Room Air".

We hook her up to the oximeter over night for at least 10 hours. The machine will log everything that happens. The goal is to have her oxygen saturation stay above 90% for most of the study. The oximeter alarms if her oxygen saturation goes below 88%. After she has logged 10 hours on the machine, Home Health will pick up the machine, download all the information and send it to her pulmonologist.

If she passes the test, there will be no more oxygen!!!!!!! They will call us as soon as they get the info and tell us what the next step is. Were praying that she passes! I'm honestly getting really tired of taping that oxygen to her face every night! My little love hates it! There have been so many times that I've woken up in the morning to her having her oxygen pulled off her face! Totally defeating the purpose! lol

We have another pulmonologist appointment in 2 months. Her next barium swallow test is in 2 weeks. Hopefully we can go a step down from nectar thick.

Miss Danika Jordyn Waterman is now 5 months old and is doing awesome!!! We still thicken her milk to a nectar thick consistency and she is still on oxygen during the day when she is sleeping and on oxygen all during the night as well. Hopefully if her weight looks good at her next pulmonologist appointment, we can go back to only having her oxygen on at night. :) That appointment is in 2 weeks.

We went to go see her cardiologist and Danika has 3 holes in her heart. All 3 holes are very small. The cardiologist is very optimistic that the holes will close on their own by the time she is one year old. If they are not closed by 1 year of age then we will discuss surgery by putting in coils to close them. Danny and I are not going to stress about it. God has brought this beautiful little girl through so much already.....what's a few holes??? God will take care of it! :)

We finally got pictures of her taken! Enjoy! :)
