Happy Birthday

I have no idea how she sleeps like this, but she does it often! I usually wait until I'm sure she's really asleep before I pull her legs out from under her.....it doesn't look very comfortable!
All dressed up to go nowhere! We were just in a dress up kind of mood!!!That's a small bruise on her eye that actually looks much better that it did.....she hits her head on everything! :)

She knows how to climb the stairs now! I'm constantly telling her "No stairs Danika!" and then I pick her up and take her back into the living room. She cries and slowly makes her way back to the stairs eventually......were getting a baby gate soon!

Danika's 1st Thanksgiving! She's thankful for Daddy too....they just didn't have a shirt that said it! :-) Daddy made candied yams, ham and pumpkin pie at the house and we took it over to Grandma and Grandpa Colon's house. After we ate, Grandma and Lilly took Danika for a walk around the block hoping to get her to fall asleep. Then we went over to Grandma and Grandpa Gurule's house! :) Danika had so much fun! :)

Danika has a thing for hangers right now. She loves playing with them. Cousin Lilly and Aunt Anne playing!

Soooo many people at Grandma and Grandpa Gurule's for Thanksgiving! Our family just keeps getting bigger and bigger!

Aunt Kelly and Danika

Danika's 1st time putting up a Christmas tree! She loved it! She kept getting mad at me for picking her up and moving her because she kept insisting on being right under the tree while I was trying to put up ornaments! lol Daddy made homemade hot chocolate and turned on the fireplace! It was a nice night! :)

She sat there for a really long time sucking on that candy cane.....finally I said "Did u get that candy cane open!!!??? You've been sitting there with that for a very long time!" Sure enough! She got it open at the bottom!!!! She must have liked it! :)

Daddy and Danika hanging out by the tree!

Danika all ready for church in the dress her Aunt Kelly got her!!!!! :)
We went to the Pulmonologist last week. They think she is looking good! :) Danika weighs 16 lbs. Of course they always want her to weigh more, so they increased her calories. They said we could stop giving her Zantac. We will try it for a month, then they check her weight and see if we should put her back on it. Danika is doing awesome! :) She gets another RSV shot at the end of this week.

In honor of Breaking Dawn 2 coming out this week, u know I had to decorate the blog in Breaking Dawn decorations!!!!!!!!!!!! :) Last year at this time, I was getting discharged from the hospital during one of my many admissions to Good Samaritan Hospital because as Danika grew, my cervix kept getting thinner and thinner and I just couldn't hold her. The day I got discharged I was told to be on strict bed rest.....but......I had bought Breaking Dawn 1 marathon tickets for me and my sister Jess which happened to be that same day!!!! Did I go on bed rest that day???? Nope! Me, Danika, and Jess went to our marathon and I just tried to stay laid back in the movie chair most of the time! I remember Danika kicking away during that marathon! (She must have loved the marathon!) Now Danika is almost 1 year old! Time flies so fast!

In the beginning I was so worried about Danika catching up to where she should be instead of really enjoying right where she's at. Now I'm enjoying every minute of it and I'm not trying to rush her. She will get to where she needs to be in her own time. D is crawling everywhere, standing on everything (as well as falling on everything). She got a nice shiner on her eye a few days ago from falling from standing on the bed! It's hard to keep her from standing on everything. To bad I just can't wrap her in bubble wrap!

I went to Walmart yesterday and a lady walked up to me while I was holding Danika and said "He is so handsome!". I smiled and looked at her and then looked at Danika and the skirt she was wearing and right away the lady caught her mistake and she said "I'm sorry! She's a girl!" I laughed and said "It's OK, it's a common mistake people make because she doesn't have much hair." See, that's why I don't like to leave the house without a big fat flower headband on her hair! Theirs no mistaking that!!!!!
